    Take an internship doing work with a purpose beyond clicks and likes. This internship will be rewarding and arm you with skills to manage socials for an organization, foster engagement, and put veterans in touch with programs that help them thrive.

  • intern - office admin

    This position will give you generic administrative skills including planning, book keeping, and other administrative tasks that help you prepare for the office setting in any organization.

  • intern - outreach

    This internship is as ‘boots on the ground’ as it gets. We need someone with a lot of energy to help spread the word for our purpose and mission. You will work with the Outreach, Intake, & Engagement (OIE) Coordinator.

  • Outreach, Intake, & Engagement Coordinator

    This person will lead outreach efforts leveraging existing community partnerships with local Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs), county public health, and Veteran’s Administration (VA) community-based outpatient clinics. Weekly pipeline reporting and forecasted reports based on leads. Ability to create and run multi-channel communication strategies—digital platforms, print ads, veteran peer networks, community events, and collaboration with rural health providers—to reach veterans effectively. Initial screening for eligibility and provide services recommendation.

  • Peer Support Specialist

    This person will host weekly classes and engage with our target audience, facilitate and liaise with other organizations and provide information with internal task force. Must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces with honorable discharge. Lived experience navigating post-service challenges and/or suicide prevention. Completion of (or willingness to complete) recognized Peer Support Specialist training (e.g., VA Peer Support Certification or equivalent). Strong interpersonal and group facilitation skills. Demonstrated commitment to supporting fellow veterans with empathy and cultural competence. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regularly throughout rural counties and resides within the service area.

  • Intake and Referral Specialist

    This person will be determine service and fit eligibility, manage cases, and track administrative timelines. Responsible for running orientation. Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in Case Management, Social Services, or Healthcare navigation. Minimum 1 year experience in screening, client intake, or resource coordination. Familiarity with Veteran’s Administration (VA) eligibility, benefits, and referral systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality practices.

    Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred but not required.

  • Admin & Financial Assistant

    Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, tracking donations, financial reconciliation, monthly and annual audits, payroll, memos and donor letters, letters of support. High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration, budgeting, or nonprofit bookkeeping. Familiarity with financial tracking software. Excellent organizational, communication, and scheduling skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
